How long does the Shopify install take?

On Shopify, ReferralCandy is a one-click install from the Shopify App Store. Most merchants finish setup the same afternoon — install, pick reward rules, drop the post-purchase widget into the theme, run a test order to confirm tracking.

What data does ReferralCandy track and where does it sync?

Every referral event — sign-ups, link clicks, code redemptions, completed orders, rewards earned and paid — is tracked in real time and exposed via Klaviyo profile properties, GA4 events, your ad pixels, and the standard ReferralCandy API.

Do I need a developer to install ReferralCandy?

Not for Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or Recharge — those are all one-click. Magento and custom stores need a 5-minute paste of a JavaScript snippet, or a deeper API integration if you have unusual checkout logic.

How does the Klaviyo integration work?

ReferralCandy sends every referral event to Klaviyo as a profile property and an event. You can trigger flows when a customer signs up to refer, when a friend redeems a code, or when an advocate earns a reward — and segment audiences by referrer status.

Yes. Completed referral orders fire as standard GA4 purchase events with referral_source and referrer_id parameters, so revenue attribution works inside your existing reports without custom dimensions.

What does migrating from another referral or affiliate app look like?

Import your existing advocate or affiliate list via CSV and keep the coupon codes they’ve already been sharing. Run ReferralCandy in parallel with your current tool during the handover, then switch when you’re ready.
